Escape from Dodge

To those who say that Goldman Sachs is a bunch of lying, deceptive, greedy, cheating, backstabbing vipers, let me remind you that Goldman Sachs is just one small, dark, slimy corner of the world.

And I further say that you would probably dump a Big Stinking Load (BSL) in your underwear if you suddenly knew the extent of the unbelievable-but-true, deplorable, pandemic, grubby self-aggrandizement and sheer corruption that is always at its most repugnant extreme at the end of long monetary booms. Without exception.

Feds launch criminal probe of alleged JPMorgan silver market manipulation

The Department of Justice and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission have launched parallel criminal and civil investigations of JP Morgan Chase and its trading activity in the silver market, the New York Post reported Sunday.
Quoting unidentified sources, the Post reported, "The probes are centering on whether or not JP Morgan, a derivatives holder in precious metals, acted improperly to depress the price of silver."
In an interview with the Post last month, Maguire said, "JPMorgan acts as an agent for the Federal Reserve; they act to halt the rise of gold and silver against the U.S. dollar. JPMorgan is insulated from potential losses [on their short positions] by the Fed and/or the U.S. taxpayers."

ANOTHER REASON FOR PEOPLE TO LOATHE WALL STREET.

Just like Oliver Stone's first Wall Street movie was supposed to expose the dirty world of banking and instead inspired millions to become i-bankers and hedge fund managers, now Fabulous Fab's is the story of an awesome career, at least according to Newsweek.

The magazine sent a writer down to Wall Street bars during happy hour to find out what financiers' opinions are of Fab.
Turns out, they think he's fantastic. Apparently one guy said he's a hero for "masterminding" ABACUS. And another said he's just a political scapegoat. All of them agreed The Fab Tourre was simply doing his job and doing it well.
Wall Street historian Charles Geisst told Newsweek that Tourre will spawn a million followers who want careers just like his, sans the fraud charge.
So apparently everyone on Wall Street disagrees with our thinking that Fab is a loser.

10 WAYS THE AMERICAN ECONOMY IS BUILT ON FRAUD

Fraud has become so endemic in this country that it's woven its way into   America’s DNA. Here are 10 ways the American economy is built on fraud:
1). Accounting Fraud: Last year, America’s leading banks were insolvent. They had tens or hundreds of billions in losses on their books, and the only way to wipe those losses out would be to either a) own up to the mess, raise enormous amounts of money on top of all the bailout money; or b) get out a big fat eraser, and wipe those losses off the books as if they never existed.
